The International Veterinary Students’ Association (IVSA) is a non-profit, non-partisan organisation run by the volunteer efforts of veterinary students worldwide. It was established in 1951 to promote the international exchange of veterinary skills, education and knowledge.

The IVSA’s principal goals are:

1. to raise the overall standard of veterinary education and
2. to promote educational opportunities in important areas outside of traditional veterinary training, such as management, animal welfare, environmental issues and technical language training

IVSA and Vetstart International collaborate in order to optimally serve the international veterinary student community.
