10 new poisoning modules from VPIS to be released on Vetacademy

The Veterinary Poisons Information Service (VPIS) has announced a collaboration with online content supplier Vetstream to develop a series of ten CPD modules covering the most common types of poisoning to animals.

The modules will be hosted on Vetacademy, a Vetstream service which provides e-learning modules and online videos in partnership with some of the world’s leading veterinary CPD providers.

We’re attending the biggest veterinary congress of the year. You can find us at stand 419 from 11-15 April at BSAVA 2012 on the main exhibition floor.

In other news: NationWide Laboratories and Cambridge Specialist Laboratory Services will officially re-brand as Dechra Laboratory Services and Dechra Specialist Laboratories respectively.

The two independent laboratories became part of Dechra Pharmaceuticals in 2002, and are dedicated to the improvement of animal health by directly supporting practices.

BEVA Webcast service

Webcast service provides worldwide online access to BEVA lectures

Webcasts will allow full playback of the BEVA Congress Science Programme, meaning delegates don’t have to worry about missing lectures that occur at the same time or are inconvenient to get to.

BEVA trialled the Pfizer Encore Room in 2011, a scheme met with much success. BEVA will be moving forward with Public-i and Vetstream to release webcasts monthly in blocks of 11.

BEVA 2011 webcasts can be found here, with considerable discounts for BEVA members.

We’ve also changed how Vetstart members access the service. Our aim is to provide Vetstream access free of charge to students at university, with a minimal fee for personal access at home.
