Vet students examine circus animals

No day is the same as a vet student, each day brings a new patient and something new to learn. So maybe treating circus animals shouldn’t sound so bizarre…!

Students at Colorado State University received a tour of Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey circus in Loveland. The vet students were given the opportunity to see performing animals up close, while learning about circus animal care and the reality of modern circus in regard to veterinary care.

It looks like a tremendous opportunity. It’s certainly not something that happens every day!

Intern case study – summer plans

Students at Bitterroot Valley high school are getting a truly hands-on experience this summer, having performed surgeries and advanced procedures at Victor Hospital. These procedures include excising a large tumor and performing autopsies — not bad for an internship!
